He extends a giant hand to shake.

-As Jacob slides down, the unflinching gaze of the Gym trainers shift from Tagg to him-

-He closes his eyes, and an Aura staff begins to form in his now-shaking hand.-

-Several minor battles and somehow not managing to fall to his death later, he is in front of Viola-

Diogenes: "Why, yes. Having read of humans speaking Monese, I wondered: Can a Pokemon learn human speech? And if not, what are the implications thereof?"

Diogenes: "I then set out to teach myself human speech, namely English, in order to explore these questions. And, it seems, I was successful in my endeavor. Good. I have had yet to meet a human to check my language skills with."

Route 4

Duke then takes a deep breath as Blake flies to a tree branch and perches there. He makes an Aura staff and gets into fighting stance.

"Ok. Here I go...!"

Duke then attempts to hit Herbert on the head with his staff, though obviously he won't actually hit him if he fails to block.

Teishi then hugs Sylva

"<It's okay! You can teach me later.>" he said, smiling at her.

Oh...well, the only reason that I know monese is because I got turned into a Roserade, and then into a Riolu.
