-Herbert freezes upon hearing Alexiel and feeling his Aura Sense start to fade, then looks over at Crow, his expression eerily passive.-

Herbert: ...See, this is why I asked for the gun. Sure, I have a sword, but a sword's only useful if I can get close enough to make him    bleed.   

-He turns to Duke.-

Herbert: I was hoping he'd show up. It'll be the last mistake he ever makes...

-He starts heading towards the sound of Alexiel's voice, Bishop following behind.-

- Waka senses the presence growing stronger and continues searching-

- Arika is moving through the base when she is stopped by a familiar face-

Odin: Hello. You must be the Arika girl.

-He pulls out a gun-

-a Hariyama, flanked by a Stoutland and Solrock, uses Brick Break on one of the sets of barriers, breaking through-

... Dammit! Clockwise!

-Clockwise doubles back, firing Air Slashes at the Hariyama. Beedrill whirrs and launches a Shadow Ball at the Solrock, while Crewe fires stones at the Stoutland's muzzle-

... Arceus, oh Arceus... They're all gonna get through...

???: <Need some help, darlings?>

???: <Looks like those ugly jerks could use a little shower!>

-a Golduck flips into the air over Beedrill, taking aim at the Solrock with her Wide Lens and firing off a Hydro Pump. The Solrock is blasted back into the Stoutland, unconscious. The Golduck lands, smirking-

Trixie: <Tada!>

???: <Well, I think it would be much more elegant to simply keep them back in the first place.>

-a Roserade prances up and tosses Poison Spikes along the street-

Lockspur: <Really dears, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!>

Lockspur: <Surprised to see me? Or merely dazzled by my presence? Serge was doing quite all right electrifying the ocean on his own, so I decided to keep Trixie a little company!>

-Clockwise rams into the Hariyama with a Return, Pecking him between the eyes. It stumbles backwards into the Stoutland, who Trixie pounds with another Hydro Pump and Beedrill lands a Thunderbolt squarely on the Stoutland. The Hariyama collapses and the Stoutland struggles to get out from underneath its unconscious team mates, only to be hit by three more attacks from Trixie, Clockwise, and Beedrill, and knocked out-

Trixie: <You were saying?>

Lockspur: <Fabulously done!>

-Beedrill whirrs-

Yeah, well... good job, but we're not done yet.

Lockspur: <Perish the thought! This is quite a bit of fun.>

-he continues laying down Toxic Spikes, and Beedrill works on repairing and strengthening the wall, while Trixie stands just behind it and throws Surfs at the oncoming Peons and Pokemon. Clockwise sets up a Rain Dance, then continues darting in to Thief away Pokeballs, coming back to Roost behind the wall when necessary-

-Bathory is hit again, and barely holds on before Ice Beaming again-

-Clara grins and uses Quick Attack to shave off that last bit of HP-

-Kyrie, meanwhile, fishes out Hammi's ball from her bag and smiles-

Almost forgot about him! I sent him out sometimes for Bathory to work off stress.

Citadark Isle, canyon

-Munnin rears back to fly towards Breeze, but immediately finds himself impeded by the fact that approximately a half-ton of rubble has just slammed into him-

Munnin: <You wish to test your strength? Fine.>

-Muninn's eyes glow, and another load of stone levitated by Breeze abruptly slams back to the ground...-

-of course, while Muninn is focused on this, he is rapidly hit by a series of Dragon Claws courtesy of Marmalade. He moves to bat her away, but is once again distracted by Breeze's battering ram-

Breeze: <We've found your weakness, Muninn! If you're busy fighting me, you can't keep track of everyone else! And when you're working on them, I can take you down just fine!>

Munnin: <You lesser species are so cute when you think you have the advantage.>

-Muninn uses Recover, restoring some of his worse injuries-

Breeze: <Oh, that's just not cool...> -lifts the rubble, swinging it at Muninn again-

-this time, however, he simply blasts it with a Dragon Pulse, turning it to dust. Before Breeze can form a new pile, Muninn slams into him with Zen Headbutt, sending the Chimecho flying back. Muninn nimbly dodges another Dragon Claw from Marmalade, loops around one from Spathi, kicks Salamence aside, and is about to fly after Breeze, when-

???: (in a distinctly masculine voice) Caw caw.

-Gamma is floating near Herbert.-

-Ren has released all Thirty of his team and have formed a Round wall.-

-Kitsune is singing lead.-

Alexiel doesn't seem to be nearby, as Crow can't really feel anything. Duke and Lyuri follow behind Herbert and as they do so, the group is ambushed by more peons

"So, Were-Lucario, your girlfriend is completely helpless now and you can't use Aura. What are you going to do? Become a Lucario again and risk being snagged, or just protect her the best you can while being human? Just wondering." said Alexiel

"Man, what's Alexiel even talking about?" asked one of the peons to another

"Who cares? I don't even know why he's here, let's just get rid of these guys!" said another peon.

Duke steps back a bit, looking conflicted about what to do, Lyuri herself can't think of anything to say to him either.

"Cidd" jumps in front of the Quick Attack, taking the hit for Hadrian, as well as the Ice Beam.

<Hadrian: "The counterattack begins now.">

He charges Bathory and Clara, head down, using    COUNTER   .

Because I figured I might as well hear your motivations. That man corrupts everything he touches and has been my boogeyman from when I was 13 years old. Years of my life have been dedicated to this day, the day I finally paid him and Cipher back for their evil, what they've done to me and countless others.

Herbert: ...He must be using the announcement system. Should've figured. Of course a coward like him wouldn't want to put himself in any real danger. Thankfully, I've got a solution. Bishop, cover me!

Bishop: <Very well then... I do hope you know what you are doing.>

-Bishop darts at the Peons and their mons with a series of Bullet Punches whilst Herbert turns to Gamma.-

Herbert: Gamma, I need you to hack the speaker systems in here and pinpoint the location of the bastard who's on the other end. Can you do that for me?

-while Latios don't have spectacular physical abilities, Merle's Foul Play is easily sufficient to get Muninn's attention. He responds with a Dragon Claw-

Merle: <Too slow!>

-Merle vanishes into the shadow of Muninn's arm, appearing behind his feet and raking his tail feathers-

Munnin: -screeches, aiming another swipe at Merle, which is dodged the same way-

Merle: <How do you like it, being a big bad legendary and not being able to hit a little bird?>

Muninn: <Now that you mention it, I DON'T LIKE IT AT ALL!>

-Every, meanwhile, seeing that Muninn is distracted, hurls another Snag Ball at him-

Muninn: <And you won't like this!>

-as the Snag Ball approaches, it suddenly shatters into tiny fragments of plastic. Before Merle can respond, the shards of plastic are drawn towards and around Muninn as a storm of blades. Merle vanishes into a shadow and reappears, but the blades are waiting for her on the other end, slashing through her wings and neck. She immediately stops flying, and drops towards the ground-

Merle! No!

Verax: -Skids to a halt- "WAIT YOU. I thought- Paula said you were dead...!"

Operations HQ

Crow: "You wouldn't have been able to hit him anyway, Bert. And considering you couldn't have hit him before he jammed your Aura anyway, I'm the best person to be using the gun."

-Crow is about to say he doesn't think Alexiel is nearby when Herbert says it for him-

-Ghostus aims a Shadow Ball at a Peon's Magmortar while the Magmortar tries retaliating with a Fire Blast-

Crow: -hearing his comment to Gamma- "Oh, that would be a good idea, yes."

Gamma: <Affirmative, Mister Herbert.>

-Gamma locates a security console and integrates into it. A little over a minute later, a synthesized voice issues from the speaker.

Gamma: Odd. The almost all security protocols have already been disabled. Anyway, I'll start the search now.

-Gamma starts looking for Alexiel's location.-
