-Straw is awoken by DS's message. He groggily answers it-

-Straw begins digging through his bag in an attempt to try to fully wake up-

Looking worse for wear, Sparkers manages to find what he thinks is the center. Exhausted he collapses into the door or a hotel door that may contain DS who's hard at work.

Pyrite Hospital

Tesse hugs into Sam. Still fast asleepp and will likely stay asleep for the rest of the day.

Phenac City

- Reads Straw's text message -

(thinking) Okay, guess that he'll handle that, then.

- Hears something -

Hmm?

- Quickly changes out of my nightgown into my usual outfit, and quietly moves over to the door, carefully opening it -

Hello?

- Notices Sparkers -

Oh, you're that Arcanine from before, aren't you? What happened to you?

Phenac

Sparkers looks up in a daze.

<Oh, sorry Ms. DS. I was in the raid last night. Fought a full team all by myself. Kinda tired now.>

He looks into the room.

< Mind if I rest here?>

Phenac City

Hmm... I'd like to, but I'm currently already looking after a friend of mine who got turned into a Shadow Pokémon... Oh, but another friend of mine, Lillith, should be in one of the other rooms nearby. I can have some of my Pokémon help you get to her room, if you'd like.

Phenac

Sparkers bows a little.

<Thank you. Your generosity will be remembered.>

Sparkers awaits to be escorted.

Phenac City

- Pets him -

You're welcome.

- Sends out Velvet and Mirage -

Help him find Lillith's room.

Velvet: (nods) <I'm on it.>

Mirage: <Okay!>

- Velvet uses her psychic powers to quickly figure out where Lillith's room is, and she and Mirage lead Sparkers over to her room -

Mirage: (knocks on Lillith's door) Lillith, are you awake?

- They wait for a few moments, before Lillith answers the door -

Lillith: What is it?

Phenac

<I've exhausted myself in the last raid. Yeah takin' on an entire team by yourself will do that to you. In hindsight, not my best plan. May I bunk here?>

Phenac City

Lillith: Oh, uh... Sure, I guess. I don't mind. Come on in.

Phenac

Sparkers says a thank you before walking into the room and curling up on the floor. He arranges Des's coat in a blanket like fashion. He looks up at Lillith.

<May I ask who you are ?>

Phenac City

Lillith: Oh, my name is Lillith. I'm from Pyrite Town, but I've sort of been travelling with DS and her other friends for a while now. What's your name?

Phenac

<Nice to meet you Lillith. I'm Sparkers. It's not the name my trainer gave me but rather the name a close friend did. You probably don't know who my trainer is seein' as how there's so many members of the J-Team so I won't bog you down in details. I will tell you though that my trainer was killed before he could come here and help his friends. That's why I am here.>

He gestures to the coat draped over his back, and the big green 'D' on it.

Phenac City

Lillith: Oh... Sorry to hear about what happened to your trainer. So... I guess you're like, trying to finish a mission your trainer started, or just doing what he would've done?

Phenac City Hotel

-Crewe is still asleep, but beginning to stir-

Phenac

Sparkers ponders for a bit.

<I guess he would've at some point been sent here by Interpol. But either way he would've been here to fight Cipher. So yes, I'm keepin' his memory alive by doin' what he would've done.>

<Although not a lot of members cherish that memory. There were a few members that didn't like him. He didn't mind though. He considered everyone his friend.>

Orre - On the way to Phenac

Jacob: -Is walking along, alone when a particular memory hits him-

Evergrande City - Six years ago

13!Jacob: -Looking up at the League building, which, like everything else seems far bigger than it actually is at this point-

-He's trembling, fumbling around with the dark navy blue coat that's still way too big for him and looks to his side- "..... Regina?"

Regina: -A Gardevoir already by this point, exuding a power a bit weaker and much more subtle than the one she gives off as a shadow, but with a brighter overall feeling-

-She looks down at Jacob who barely reaches her torso in height at his point- <Yeah, Jacob? What is it? Not worried are you? We've already come so far.> -She smiles-

Jacob: "W-Well yeah I know... but... aren't these supposed to be the best of the best...? We've fought for a long time but I... well I'm... I'm scared. What happens if we lose? Where do we go? What do we do? The professor said he'd only give us back the will to our mansion if we beat this on our first try... most people have a team! I mean I know what we can do every way possible! But we lack so much tactical variety because we're a team of one and-"

Regina: -Puts her hand on his shoulder and smiles- <Everything will be alright! We made it here, we made it through Victory Road, we've made it this far, after all this time. We can do this.>

-Tilts her head and closes her eyes, still smiling warmly- <Besides, I'm here! As long as I'm around, you'll never have to worry about what losing will be like, right?>

Jacob: -Looks own- "Y-yeah.... sorry Regina..."

Regina: -She gives a short bubbly giggle- <Don't be!>

Jacob: "...."

Regina: -Pulls him into a hug- <Jacob, it's alright to be nervous but... don't worry about it too much, mkay? Things will be just the way they always were. You know their teams and you were told how they like to fight, I already know you have a strategy to beat them all from the very beginning. Just like you always do, people will fight they way you want them. You're going to win this. You will be the Champion. You're have the potential to be the best trainer there ever will be, and now you get to show it.>

-She holds him a little closer- <I have faith in you.>

Jacob: "............" -Nods-

Regina: -Lets go- <Well alright then! Let's go! We might as well do this today!> -Starts walking towards the building-

Jacob: ".... Hey, Regina..."

Regina: -Stops and turns around- <Hm? What is it Jacob? I hope you're not planning to stall me! I'm doing this, I'm ready. I want this.>

Jacob: "No I know it's just... well erm..."

-Looks up- "Well I was just... I was hoping you'd help me understand something since the Ralts line is particularly attune to the emotions of others. W-Whenever we talk like this... or when we win... when I know I can leave things to you and they pay off... whenever we celebrate... I feel this... well it's like this orange warm glowy feel... and it fills up my lungs and chest and it's... actually sort of nice... I don't get it and it's making me nervous. Do you know what it is?"

Regina: -Looks surprised for a few seconds before relaxing into a very warm serene smile- <Well... maybe. Come on, let's go do this then we can talk about it.>

Jacob: "Right!" -Walks on forward, tripping on the hem of his big coat, pushes himself up and keeps walking forward with a look of almost adult-like determination- "As long as I have you, my white queen, no one will ever be able to keep me in check for long!"

-He keeps marching forward, towards the doors of the building-

-He doesn't look, but he can feel the Gardevoir following along right behind him-

-And he can almost feel the grin stuck to her face-

Jacob: -In that same coat, his face mirrors that determined expression from so long ago-

-Except this time, the king walks alone-

Ice-Cream Parlor yesterday

In case anyone was wondering, Martin, after 12 long nonstop minutes of hardcore deliberation, decided on butterscotch. While leaving, he waved to Sarah, but was too busy trying to eat the now-melting dessert to talk.

I was wrong. Butterscotch is delicious! He thought to himself.

Pyrite Wherevertheheck, Today

Martin's somewhere? Maybe close to someone? I don't even care. Do you care? I don't care.

Phenac City hotel - DS' room

- Recalls my Pokémon after having them escort Sparkers over to Lillith's room -

- Looks over at Crewe, deciding to just stay quiet and wait for her to wake up on her own -

Lillith: (nods) I see.

Phenac

Sparkers bows his head a little.

<Thank you for listenin'. Now I must turn in.>

Sparkers nuzzles into his trainer's jacket and falls asleep.

DS's Hotel Room, Phenac City

-Crewe slowly opens her eyes and freezes as she momentarily forgets where she is, then slowly relaxed as she remembers coming here last night. She pushes herself up into a sitting position and rubs her eyes, yawning-

Phenac City - DS' hotel room

Good morning, Crewe. Did you sleep well?

Airship

-Brie is pacing-

Airship, some room somewhere

-Amanita wakes up- Ow...

???: <Patient #0001 is awake!>

Amanita: ...Huh?

Breeze: -floats over. He's holding a pen in one paw, levitating a clipboard, and for reasons known only to himself wearing a pair of fake glasses-

Amanita: ...Oh, hey. What happened?

Breeze: -reading the clipboard- <Well, we had to replace all your internal organs with robots, your limbs are all missing, your—>

Amanita: Breeze, all that happened was that I got hit in the stomach and knocked into a wall. And my limbs are clearly still attached. -wiggles an arm at him, then winces-

Breeze: <...> -nibbles on his pen a bit, accidentally biting it in half- <Fine. You had a broken rib, which I fixed for you, but it's going to be tender so be careful. And don't get in more fights with Drapion.>

Amanita: ...Thank you for the tip.

Breeze: <You can leave now.> -floats off, tossing the glasses into a wastebasket and the clipboard out of a window-

Amanita: Alright then. -leaves to the airship as a whole-

DS's Hotel Room

-Crewe jumps before remembering she's not alone in the room-

Oh, hi... Yeah, I slept okay, I guess.

-she stands up and stretches, then puts her hands on her hips and looks at DS expectantly-
