Last post for today stuff has come up.

-Herbert shrugs futilely at his X-Transceiver.-

Herbert: I don't know. The old myths call Heatran the "heart of the volcano". There's only two real reasons why one would trigger an eruption like that, so either it was really, really pissed off... or it felt threatened somehow.

-He notices the note passing him by, and picks it up, but as he never actually learnt how to understand Psyche's code he dismisses it as nothing more than random gibberish.-

"Whatever it is, it can't be good." Jason nodded. He checked up on his prototype of the ARM,

"If only this thing had a way to measure siesmic activity..." Jason pulled out his notebook and scribbled down some words in it.

"Note to self: Add a scanner to ARM."

"Cipher attempted to make a Shadow Pokémon out of Lugia once, maybe they're trying the same with Heatran...?" suggested Grant

"I didn't know Heatran lived there." said Sakura.

Jacob: "Herbert, we're in Orre and we just shut down a major Cipher base. I think we can imply what happened, or at least count it as a possibility. It may just be a random erruption but..."

-Herbert blinks at both Jacob and Grant.-

Herbert: ...Damnit, why do you have to suggest the worst-case scenario? Cipher getting their hands on a nuke would be a better situation, if only marginally. You've to be fucking kidding me here...

-Dune finds the page he was looking for. On it is a list of mountains, all of which have a history of volcanic activity. On it, Mt. Battle is circled in red marker.-

Dune: ... Ho boy.

-He rubs the bridge of his nose, seriously considering imbibing alcohol for once.-

"Hey, it was just a thought, it's just that I was told about the Shadow Lugia thing once and this made me remember about it." said Grant

"Yes... If they got their hands on another legendary..." said Sakura, biting her thumb.

Well its the only likely thing that happened...

Jacob: "I hope it didn't happen but we have to consider it Herbert. Imagine if the worst did come to pass? I seriously doubt they had any means to subdue an enraged Heatran."

-Looks at Dune- ".... I take it you didn't find anything good?"

-Herbert lets out a long groan.-

Herbert: ...Do you think Orren bars particularly care about serving alcohol to minors? Because I could really use a strong drink right about now.

I hope they don't.

Mt. Battle — Base

-Paula's laugh dies down-

Paula: Oh, man, does this feel awesome! A Commander, getting her hands on this... or perhaps not much longer! This has gotta be some major points toward getting promoted! Verax, thank you, thank you, thank you for giving me this amazing idea! Oh, man, is this great...

-Ophelia also darts out of the way, barely restraining tears-

-Dune nods.-

Dune: Out of all of the recorded volcano's on record, Mt Battle was, for the longest time, the only one to maintain activity for so long without even the slightest hint of a Heatran sighting. Which is weird, because the Mt Battle facility makes it's way through the inside and outside of the entire mountain and is almost constantly manned.

-He snaps his book shut.-

Dune: But now that this has happened... I need to call someone. Make sure I'm not jumping to conclusions about this.

"How can we even fight a Legendary?" asked Sakura.

"Without a lot of help, we probably can't, unless we get help from another legendary which is pretty unlikely." said Grant.

Pyrite Town

-Herbert sighs at Daisy.-

Herbert: Too right...

-He looks over at Lina.-

Herbert: You want the quick version? We're all pretty much boned.

I fought a legendary once, with a togepi.

Pyrite Town, Lillith's house

Lillith's mother: (looks out the window) What was all that noise just now...? Ugh, gives me a headache... (rubs head) Or maybe it's because of the alcohol...? Which reminds me... I should go buy some alcohol... Where'd I put the housekeys...? (starts searching through the couch cushions)

Somewhere else

Lillith: ... Did something bad happen? I get the feeling we missed something...

Should we contact the others?

"While Cipher having a Heatran is certainly a horrible notion, theres also the possible side effects of such an occurance. They would have ripped the heart out of a mountain and use it to siphon its energy. How would that affect the local ecosystem? These Cipher arseholes are sucking the very life essence from the world!"

Mt. Battle

Verax: -Grins and waves his hand dissmissively- "I doubt they'll let a Commander use a Legendary. But since you caught it... oh yeah you're getting promoted. And hah! I just brought up what we've done before. This was all your idea, Paula! Great going."

Jacob: -To Dune- "Right... well go make that call. Soon."

-To Herbert- "Waitwaitwait, didn't you just hear me? It's a possibility but how could Cipher have beat a Heatran? I mean we can't do that and we keep beating them!"

"Maybe they had a secret weapon, like a Masterball or something?" Jason butted in to answer Jacob's question.
