Cody SF 4 theme. "Turn the beat back!" Still ringing in my ears all these years later

If we're doing this then I'm gonna nominate unsung favourites in the form of Rising Dragoon, Spinning Bird, Under Tube, Irreconcilably, Strange Sunset and Infinite Earth.

Oh and let's not forget the EX Plus playstation version of STRONGER where Garuda just blows Akuma the fuck outta the water and goes way too fuckin hard

[up] SFEX as a whole doesn't get a lot of love. Yes, yes, Capcom Fighter Database recanonized the likes of Hokuto, Cracker Jack, Doctrine Dark but will they be used in a mainstream SF game. Fighting EX Layer didn't do so hot for many reasons and that was Arika's attempts in doing their own game with the characters they created for SFEX.

Still, Capcom used bits of SFEX here and there. Bison's alternate throw in CVS where he tosses you with his foot was from SFEX, Violent Ken in Sv C Chaos had regular Ken's Kuzuryu Reppa from EX carried over almost wholesale and really, SF 4's mechanics like the Focus Attack seem a lot like SF EX's guard break move.

I've always been a bit baffled that people are so obsessed with Guile's SF 2 theme when his SFEX theme is sitting right there being much, much better.

Street Fighter II was just more visible, really.

Wake me up at your own risk.

[up][up][up] Ah right. Those.

Still, I cared more for the characters and their backstories. Take Hokuto, Kairi, and Nanase: found it disappointing their story arc (Kairi being banished from the warrior clan he, Hokuto, and Nanase hailed from and that Hokuto was to fight and kill Kairi with a power she didn't consent to and that they opt to continue fighting each other despite their sister Nanase interfering) couldn't be resolved in this franchise.

Now, there's a lot of neat tracks in SF, i don't think i can pick one or even a couple ...

I guess i have to give a special mention to Dudley's 3rd strike theme. Not necessarily my favorite, but i really like fighting against him with that theme playing. To the point i'm not even dispointed when i lose a round because it will go "This is a stupid dope mix!" at the begining of the third round.

Street Fighter EX definitely have some bangers, but i've been listening to that one a lot theses past few days.

I also have to mention Karin's Alpha 3 theme. Also my favorite version of Akuma's theme is the original, but i really like how Gouken and Akuma SF 4 themes kinda answers each other. Speaking of IV, i like the rendition of Fei Long's theme.
