I just got done watching toy story in full hd...so I guess my bar is sorta high.
That's not sorta high, that's impossibly high. Moribito is one of the best animated shows around. Maybe not quite at Git S:SAC levels but still some of Production I.G.'s better work.
But if you're watching it for the action then I suggest leaving now. There is action but it's incidental to the world building and character drama.
Saying "The animation sucks" for anything related to Production IG is just plain trolling. You can get away with saying it for any other animation studio out there, but not for this.
Trying to compare Western animation qualities to Anime isn't a fair judgment either.

The action scenes in Moribito are few and far between, but absolutely epic. Quality over quantity any day.
But seriously, how the HELL can anyone find Seirei No Moribito boring?
Well, a lot of fellow Game FA Qers didn't like the subtlety that plays out the storyline. I LOVE Moribito through and through, but I can't deny that it does take a few episodes for the plot to pick up steam and get rolling.
It's not subtle. It's just bad at character development and character expression.
It definitely is boring.
The live action is way better. Same story but its characterization and pacing is better. See my review and comment to the review.
Perhaps the live action just made obvious what was underneath the surface of the anime that I didn't notice before, but it happens at so many crucial moments that at that point I cannot see the argument that the anime was saying the same stuff but just not outright.

Anyone watching this?
I'm on the 7th episode and So far getting really bored, the animation sucks and there's no real action. Does the series pick up or should I ditch it if I don't like it by now
