Yes... why'd you ask?
Just wanted to be sure.
Meh, I still got work tomorrow. I'm tucking in....
I bet you already know the answer anyway....

Is it from Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei?
Is it from Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei? No.
So... Is it "Neko Mimi Mode"? "Tsuku Yomi Mode"? "Sketch Switch?" I'm going with Tsukiyomi mainly because Hidamari Sketch is hardly modern fantasy, but there's something that bugs me about the choices.
EDIT: Ah, there's the rub. It's classified as Shonen on MAL but Seinen everywhere else. I hate it when they do that.

And you better get used to stuff like that, as I will be giving mathematician's answers to those kinds of questions.* Example. Is it shounen? seinen?'' Yes and yes.
Oh, and for a hint explanation, the hint was referring to Hazuki's seiyuu, Chiwa Saito. Her other roles include Aika, famous for her Catchphrase, embarrassing remarks are not allowed!) and Hitagi Senjougahara, hence the use of the word "staple" in the hint.

That's kinda unfair considering that most of the time, when we phrase it like that, we intend them to be separate questions. If I'd meant that statement to refer to a single question, there'd be an "either / or" somewhere in the question.
But if you were referring to the multiple sources... I suppose it could go that way, but I just get irritated when online references are inconsistent with their classifications. (I don't know, I'm not really making much sense any more.)
Anyway... I think we need new blood, and probably need to go easy on the search engines. In the meantime... I'll leave you all to ponder on this.

The only reason I worded it like that is because I don't believe that hottips support separate lines. I would have put the questions on separate lines if I could have.
Anyway, let's get to it:
Is anime 1 listed on the Generic Cuteness page?
Is anime 1 Slice of Life?
Is anime 2 Sci-Fi?
No, No, Yes.
Is anime 1 a Derivative Work? Of a Manga?
Is anime 2 a Mecha anime?
Tropes round and me don't mix so I'll be skipping this one... meh...
