I'm sorry, I made a mistake here. The answer is yes for still airing. Sorta
To clarify for you the answers for the previous questions are Yes & No for both of them.

Is the song the opening from an original series, but used as the ending to a remake?
Remake like the original series?
Did the anime begin airing before the year 2000?
Dorkus: For example, "Sakura Saku Mirai Koi Yume" is the original OP of the first season of Da Capo. Five years later, it was used as the ED theme of the final episode of the two-part OVA Da Capo: IF.
Servbot: Yes & No
Miyu and Tomu: No. The song is not in a remake.
How can it be "yes and no"? An anime either started in a given year, or it didn't.
Wait, was it like, a pilot OVA or something like that came out in 2000 but the series proper didn't start until later?

It's like the song was used in two different series. That's why it's yes and no.

Wait a second. Was it used as an ending from Lucky Star? -_-
Is it Konata singing Sparkling?

Close enough. The song was the opening for Dragonball Z and the ending for episode 5 of Lucky Star.
It's correct name is Cha La Head-Cha La

Hah. I can't believe I got that right. Except, really, I didn't, since I totally forgot the right name, but I'll take the win all the same ;P
Alright, lemme think up a good one.
You're going to need to use all your reasoning skills to figure this one out!

Is it from a series with mecha?
It is not God Knows.
Second Question: It is an OP.
Third question: Wu. An answer of "no" would be technically correct, but potentially misleading; an answer of yes would likewise be misleading.
It is not from a mecha series, though it can be argued (loosely) that mecha have made an appearance.

Is it a shounen?
Is it from a series about a detective?
Does the series have a protagonist of dubious morality?
^^Not even remotely, though at one point in the series there is a sort of detective.
^I suppose you could say that. Said protagonist is not Lawful Good.

Is it "Super Driver"?
Did it start within the last ten years?
The series did not start within the last ten years.
Is it Dragon Soul from Dragon Ball Z Kai?
