Kind of random...but can anyone suggest an alternate translation for Kyouko's "hitori-bocchi wa sabishii mon na (?)" line? Or is "it sucks to be alone" really the best translation for that? I'd appreciate it ^_^

Checking Volume one to see if there are any differences. Would you want scans of any differences (Not breaking the spine of my manga though)?

As for that line... How about localizing it? Something like "Loneliness really hurts, doesn't it?"

That's one of the instances where you really do have to think outside the box a little. The literal translation is something along the lines of 'It's lonely being by yourself', or even 'It's lonely being alone'.

Hahaha, yeah, sometimes it's hard to grasp the Japanese wording without wanting to express it more strongly in another language.

Scans would be awesome - especially if there are new pages that need to be translated. But yeah, don't break your manga.

Ah alright. Thanks! I pieced out a literal translation from what little Japanese I know. Made me curious about they got "it sucks to be alone" from that. But I guess I can accept that.

^The 'mon' bit at the end is something of a dialect, I suppose you could call it. It's an informal, female ending, so you can see why Kyouko would be using it. And the rest is pretty straightforward. =)

Ah, yeah, I'd been wondering about that, I couldn't recall hearing 'mon' being used before. That's interesting to know ^_^

I'm bookmarking the pages I need to keep track off, I'll scan them after I'm done comparing pages the whole volume later. Oh, by the way, there's some between-chapter omake art that does not appear in the serialized version, and some of those "To be Continued" suspense lines are gone.

Major Difference: Kazumi points to the jewel in her Cruz-Staff rather than her earring when asking about the Soul Gem.

Major Difference: A whole new omake page right at the end of Chapter 2, before the pre-Chapter 3 artwork. Totally gonna try and scan this well.

More pages! An entire few more pages of Omake and what seems to be Author's Notes at the end, as well as some more omake on the front and back covers under the dust jackets. All these get scanned too later, since it's late now. I'm get my scanner warmed up either tomorrow morning/night, or on my next off-day on Tuesday.

Do you think you can help me with somehting? I'm trying to determine the type of the Witch in Kazumi Ch. 3. I've read it over and here's what wrote:

- Large head

- Four tentacles with wisp like ends

- White paper-like Minions shaped like "things"

- Appears to be a sign in its mouth pointing downward

- Barrier entrance surrounded by eyes and tentacles

What do you think?

That just sounds like Foreshadowing or a normal Chekhov's Gun to me. It was there, even if it wasn't pointed out.
