Levistus seemed as though he were about to answer Pharaun, but before he could do so the air around him flickered and blurred for a brief second, obscuring him from view; when this strange optical distortion cleared a moment later, the aristocratic archdevil and the door to his glacial realm had vanished as though they had never existed. All that remained to show the Prince of Stygia had ever been a prisoner and occupant of the All-Lair were the large quantities of ice and frost which still coated the walls, ceiling and floor; yet even these would not last long, for with the sudden disappearance of the icy fiend and his glacial domain these began to melt rapidly.
In minutes, it would be as though Levistus had never been present.

Shang Tsung sat in his chambers, meditating. He wanted to know for certain that he could defeat Shao Kahn.
Suddenly a brief vision came to him. He saw himself alongside Quan Chi in the Emperor's throne room. In a flash, he saw the Emperor's helmet fly down the steps and Kano pledging allegiance to the Deadly Alliance.
The vision ended, and it was all Shang Tsung needed.
"Yes!" he said. "Haha...YES!" In his jubilation, he was shouting loud enough for others to hear him clear as day. "Outworld...will...be...mine!"

"... What?" Daido said to Shang Tsung, breaking from his own meditation, recalling and disregarding an incident on an island involving Psychics and a Dopant who uses eyes as projectiles.
Izumi also snapped out of a meditation, although it was more of a fantasy than a recollection.

Shang Tsung came out of his chambers, a triumphant smile on his face.
"I had a vision," said Shang Tsung. "It is clear to me what the Elder Gods have decided for me. In time, I will slay Shao Kahn and rule Outworld. I must get back to my home realm as soon as I can to prepare my insurrection."
"Masssster," said Reptile from behind.
"Yes?" said Shang Tsung.
"Why sssshould I join you?" said Reptile. "We have both sssserved him faithfully. You know that if he issss killed, there issss no way to resssstore Zaterra."
"Reptile, Reptile, Reptile. When did he promise you this?"
"Sssseven hundred years ago."
"Has he ever upheld his promise? No. As he promised you mercy, he committed the genocide of your race. When I am Emperor, I will set my plans in motion to restore Zaterra. Within three years' time, your realm and your race will be restored."
"Are you csssertain?"
"I swear upon my certainty that Outworld will be overthrown."
Reptile bowed before his new Emperor, and Shang Tsung turned back to Daido.
"I just have one person I'd like to say something to, and then I will go," said the sorcerer.
The sorcerer then approached Azula.
"Princess?" said the sorcerer. "Before I leave this place, I want you to promise me something."

Deca overlooked every merciless thing that Harry has done to his father. She was horrified. Ever since Fate was taken away by the Lifemaker after a brutal fight, Deca never felt the same. The fact that all these "toys" can be taken away or destroyed in the snap of a finger caused her eyes to water. Soon, a tear fell into the All-Lair. Deca then furled her face. She was going to do something she would regret.
She was going to put away her toys before they were ever destroyed or lost.
The All-Lair suddenly became pink.
"Huh? What's going on?" Daido asked.

"What happened?" said Shang Tsung. "What is this place?"
Reptile looked around, bewildered.
"Issss thisss how you normally get from realm to realm in thissss event?" asked the Saurian.
"No," said Shang Tsung. "Usually, there's a portal shaped in some way relating to the universe it leads to."
