Tales of the Abyss 3D coming to North America?

I am really pissed that Bandai is getting blamed for a lot of Namco's stupidity, and yet Namco's face is always "top shelf" when in fact it was Bandai that bought them.

What's a good game for a newbie in the series to play?

None of the games are remarkably difficult the first time around, but I'd recommend Tales Of Symphonia on the GCN, which was the first one I played, and I enjoyed it immensely.

I'd also recommend Symphonia.

Symphonia it is.

Know what I want? Tales of Phantasia X (the PSP port).

Know why? This:

Phantasia X does look like one of the best Tales Spinoff games so far. Why did we have to get the crappy THIS ENDS HEYAH! version of Tales of Phantasia, instead of waiting and eventually getting this one with Narikiri Dungeon?

Also, for starting Tales, I also recommend Tales of Eternia, so you can try out some of the 2d Tales games.

Also, while I'm here, I should probably note that th only Tales game I've played is Symphonia for about an hour. I rented it and found the battle system dull and the voice acting cheesy, so I stopped, but now that I've opened my mind a bit, I want to retry it at some point. I also plan to get Tales of the Abyss for the 3DS and Graces for the PS 3.

If you found the Symphonia battle system a little dull, you might still enjoy the other ones. Vesperia and Abyss improved on it by quite a bit.

Yeah, I read about Tales of the Abyss in the latest Nintendo Power, which is actually what resparked my interest in the series.

I do wish Tales of Versus would be released in English though...

This also strongly hits at another thing. That Wii version of Tales of Graces F that some people are still weakly clinging for hope that it'll come out? Not gonna happen.

Hmm...anyone here played Radiant Mythology? I'm thinking about getting it, but I'm wondering what others thought of it.

I know it has its fans, but most people I've heard form said it was eh at best. I hear the 2nd and 3rd Radiant Mythologies are more polished, but of course, America never got these.

So the system that originally had the game isn't going to have it in American?

Oh, people were expecting it this year? I was wondering why the European release date was considered bad. At least they had a release date, when North America hadn't gotten one yet.

Anyone have screenshots or just know the art styles (in 3D, anyways) of, say, Graces, Vesperia, or Xillia? I don't mind the sort of chibi style that Symphonia, and it appears Abyss, use, but I'm not a big fan of it...

I notice a distinct lack of asshole Luke in that video. It's also kinda interesting seeing them try to play up the few new features that America gets out of this.

Still, I hope this does well. I think it has a decent shot, being one of the first major JRP Gs on the system, and (afaik) NOT coming out around the same time as an FF game or anything, like last time.
