So the "Federation Force" varia suit has spiky shoulder pads? That's already one step in the right direction. And people said it would suck because it had online multiplayer?

I wonder what reactions would be in an alternate timeline where Federation Force came out in between Super Smash Bros Brawl and Metroid Prime 3 would look like. edit: I suppose the complaints about how "Hunters" was better and how it wasn't the sequel they asked for and or anger that there was a "Hunters" sequel at all and how multiplayer doesn't belong.

Do the Luminoth have psychic powers? I think I read somewhere that they did, but I'm fuzzy on the details.

At least one Luminoth had psychic powers, his remains can be scanned in a temple, which revealed multiple failed possession attempts by Ing.

So is there any reason why, after all the negativity, they just don't show a later level? i get that they want to show how the game starts, but look at all the hate this is getting. If they're so confident in what they're making, they should show a later level that's more complicated. have the intro stage shown first, for example, and assure the fans with a playthrough of a later level(with spoilers pertaining to the plot locked or blurred out) that the first level is not indicative of the entire game.

Keep the game unspoiled or they feel those levels are best suited to demo the game. You decide what you want to think.

Does anyone know when Monster Hunter took off in Japan? Federation Force was conceptualized in 2009, and I think it's likely Tanabe wanted to put his own spin on the concept.

You know come to think of it a Monster Hunter metroid cross does sound like a good idea. you could even be in the gunship fighting against elder dragons, and cybernetic versions of monster hunter armor does sound appealing, especially of the Brachydios armor.

You know, Laura Bailey would be a good voice actress for Samus Aran (skip to 15:10).

Yeah but part of me would prefer just getting Jennifer Hale back.

I honestly don't mind Alesia Glidewell.

If it's just Grunts, Gasps and a minuscule amount of dialogue, I don't think the voice actress matters too much.

I kind of want to hear Samus give her version of the 'space, the final frontier' monologue

Edit: This is the face of someone who is pretty okay with being part metroid.

That was WELL worth the wait. I haven't had Metroid fun like that since I last played Metroid Zero Mission.

Federation Force delayed to summer. Comes out August 19 in NA and September 2 in Europe.

Clearly the split launch is so that their servers don't get overwhelmed by the huge numbers of players they expect for this game.

I really wanna like this game but... Eh.

I hope they still keep making metroid games at least.

Truth be told, I actually thought of Nintendo making a "Federation Military" of Metroid long before Fed Force was revealed. I thought it would make a great competitor in the FPS space.

I think that they had a good idea, but this isn't exactly executed properly.
