Assimilation Academy: Troper Tales or not?

Assimilation Academy is about fictional portrayals of schools as soul-destroying, creativity-suppressing, conformity-loving institutions which actively try to prevent anyone from being different.

Now, certainly there are people who believe that their school qualifies as a example, and indeed there are people who think it should have a Troper Tales page. It was agreed fairly easily that a Real Life section would be a poor choice, and a few people, including myself, argued that it shouldn't be dignified with a Troper Tales page.

But, as there are arguments for both, I thought it might be an idea to get some agreement. Should Assimilation Academy have a Troper Tales page?

By the way, do you think we can add this to the War On Straw index?

I see no reason to prohibit a Troper Tales page.

shimaspawn, I know how to create a Troper Tales page. The question is whether we should, given that the same trope has a 'no Real Life examples' warning.

I don't think it would be a significant problem (at most, it'd just be people making idiots of themselves) but I thought I should get some agreement either way.

No real life examples means just that. No examples on the main page. It doesn't invalidate Troper Tales. It just means that we don't want those Troper Tales all over the trope itself.

I know. I only made this thread because there'd been similar questions over whether a Troper Tales page would be acceptable as there was with Real Life.

I've made a link to a Troper Tales page on the main page.

Now, the other question: could this page be indexed on War On Straw?

I'd say, yes, it can be. Schools are an easy target for creators who want to make their heroes rebels without taking the chance of making them appear unsympathetic, and school administrators are an easy choice for unbending autoritarianism.
