And in Xenoblade 2, Mythra is basically superior to Pyra in every way, including damage.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Even lore-wise, Pyra's persona was explicitly created by Mythra as a means of burying her true power away. She was specifically designed to only have access to a fraction of the power that Mythra possesses.
Switch FC code: SW-4420-1809-1805Mythra is basically too powerful so she's kinda dangerous for her world, from what I've gathered.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life! There was a Monster Hunter digital event today, and now I'm hoping that when Monster Hunter: Rise releases, we'll get a Spirit event for that game. Heck, we even have a good candidate for the flagship monster Magnamalo: a purple Incineroar.
So basically, Pyra and Mythra should've been swapped; Pyra should've been faster but weaker and Mythra should've been stronger but slower.
For Gameplay balance reasons you can't have Pyra be completely worthless and Mythra the only thing you can use. Otherwise you end up with Melee's Zelda/Shiek problem.

I think they're saying that according to the story, Mythra should be stronger and faster than Pyra.
Few pages someone mentioned smash invites
Alexandra Roivas:Gets an invite but the sanity effects say otherwise
New theme music also a boxA slow Mythra would be completely out of character. Canonically she should be better in every way, but since that obviously can't be the case the current arrangement feels fitting, if nothing else.

Trans rights are human rights.Yeah, if you have to balance speed vs. power, then "Pyra stronk, Mythra go fast" is better fitting than the inverse, though you're breaking canon either way.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! The best part about new character releases is the random pairings that happen one way or another.
The latest one being Mythra and Kazooie hating each other. Guess having two super sassy ladies is too much for smash to handle.
Uni catLora fights using lots of kicks and a whip, like Zero Suit Samus.
My reasoning for this: Hinoka's spirit battle also uses a red Lucina.
It's funnier this way.
Oh, yeah, it'd be even less in character for Mythra to be slow. Pyra being stronger here may contradict her source material, but it's no worse than, say, Mewtwo being lightweight. It's an acceptable sacrifice for the sake of game balance.
Switch FC code: SW-4420-1809-1805I mean, she has light as an element. Slow light is just a no-no.
I don't think just because you're part of the forces of light/good means you should be as fast as light.

No, she literally has light elemental attacks. Photons.
I don't remember all the details since it was years ago when I watched it, but there's a cutscene in Xenoblade 2 where they put emphasis on Mythra & her abilities not being truly lightspeed. Jin, who's moving at the speed of light, was constantly speed-blitzing them to the point no one on Rex's team could do anything at all. When Mythra try to retaliate with her own attack that she believed that's lightspeed Jin barely had to put any effort into it & outright saying it's not actually lightspeed.
Granted, this argument is pretty moot because when Pyra/Mythra awaken their true power as Pneuma, or whatever her actual form/name is, Rex with her power was able to decisively defeat Jin.
Any Xenoblade 2 fans feel free to correct me on that.
Well, I'm pretty sure no one was arguing Mythra had to actually be light speed. Just that it doesn't make sense for her to be slow.
SoundCloudIn that case, no, I need her to be literally an anime swordswoman.
She’s an anime sword woman, does that count?
It's been 3000 years…Quite literally, yea.
Really most of the DLC has been enjoyable, but I like Pyra/Mythra as much as I love maining Cloud. And I didn't even touch Xenoblade before. Also helps that Pyra/Mythra are essentially Zelda/Sheik done right. Granted, from what I can tell Pokemon Trainer already beaten them to the punch, but I still stand by what I said.
Mythra's still the more powerful one in Smash, because she has the most combo potential.
Grasping straws here, but during the presentation, Sakurai said he has figurines of characters that'll be playable so it would be easier to model. Mario & Link were the only characters that had more than one figurine
There are already multiple Marios and multiple Links.
All they need to do is add more lag to the grounded version
