Dark Samus looks even floatier than Samus and probably has less traction too. But otherwise, I don't see what's different.

Also, it looked like she has Cloud's running animation.

Completely unrelated, but real recent release of Brave Veronica managed to validate one moveset idea for her.

According to the Smash Wiki, a lot of Dark Samus's attacks have an electric effects, including some of Samus's fire ones, which I don't think is too different casually. Her bombs 'appear to have more horizontal knockback instead of vertical knockback'. The changes that Nintendo have explicitly talked about, she doesn't turn into a ball when dodging or jumping and has overall more 'floaty' movement.

It'll be easier to get a better read on exactly what property changes she has once the game comes out, I imagine.

I see they kept the pronunciation difference with K. Rool. Also as expected his Crown is like Gyromite.

Pronunciation difference? Isn't that how it's supposed to be pronounced? For a second, you had me worried that they used the pronunciation from the god-awful cartoon.

In the Japanese upload of the footage, they used King Kruel.

In Japan his name in katakana is written continuously without the dot pause, so it's pronounced "cruel". It's reflected in his name pronunciation in the Japanese Smash video. In the English video it's "Kay" Rool.

It's like Lucina.

Well, that's a little on-the-nose, but the Japanese can do what they want. I don't really care if THEY have it wrong.

Looks like you can aim it, might only do that if you suck it back first...

Depending on the stage it can be set up real something...

So it's actually useful, unlike Bowser Jr's cannon.

Rool cannot aim, it's just that any projectile he sucked will travel in an arc when fired. He also cannot suck his own balls unless it's fired back at him like in the games.

I didn't see that Snake hit it...

Also accurate.

He hit it with his grenade. It's why it exploded.

So K Rool has his own victory music. I wonder if Ganondorf will get his own this time.

Gameplay looks fast.

Those were some good matches. K.Rool looks very interesting so far. Was Snake homing missile always that good?

Side note: Lucina is using her voice clips from Smash 4. Could be early in development on why they're not using her current V.A

It's pretty normal to hear reused clips.

Also Ridley's FS instantly kills enemies at high percentage, probably over 100% like Bayo and Zelda.

I'm totally aware of that, but they're using Ike's current V.A which is what led me to believe what I said earlier. It's not that big of a deal, but I rather hear Bailey reprise her role again. Not that I'm willing to make the same mistake I did with Brawl.

I notice after Ridley use his Final Smash, Lucina actually disappear instead of getting knocked back. I wonder if that means Final Smash are automatic KO's when it's over 150% or so.

I have absolutely no problems with those characters whatsoever.

Obviously the second Square rep is Black Mage. Then the trailer will reveal Geno who will have the Mario icon.

There's now an audio cue along with the visual indicator every time a stock is lost in this new build.
