Nintendo says more Smash Bros. Ultimate roster info coming "Closer to December," Undecided on DLC
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.Wait, if Metal Mario is Mario's edgy rival, then what's Shadow Mario?
Gavan, Let's get jiggy! That statement is vague. It could be interpreted as nothing will be revealed until November-December or any coming month can have a reveal since well, every month is closer to December
But if it's the former, it's going to be a really long 5 months blegh
Uni catHuh, sounds like we're not getting more concrete info for a while, then. I guess it makes sense; E3 was much more of a blowout for Smash than usual.
I mean, you're technically right, but I really don't think they would word it as "closer to December" if we were getting info, say, sometime this month.

In a twist, they'll announce it ten minutes from now. 'Closer to December, suckers!' they'll yell, before sticking their tongues out.
Since I'm already leaking you may as well know the next fighter: it is, of course, Pink Gold Peach.

Obviously fake. The real next fighter is Jumping T-Shirt.

RIP pretty much every leak.
If we're not getting smash info for a while, maybe it means that at least half of the newcomers will be secret unlockables. I am okay with that.
I really hope that Nintendo's just exaggerating here, because I 'd like some more info sooner than later. Less because of the roster and more because whether or not I buy this game is really gonna come down to Single Player.
Doctor Who — Long Way Around: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13536044/1/Doctor-Who-Long-Way-AroundHonestly, same, but for me it's mostly because of the roster. Single player info would be nice to know too though, would be fun to know what single player modes are planned...
Yeah, as long as I'm getting them at all I'd be fine with that too (though between the two, honestly, I'd rather know sooner than later, I get more hyped by actually knowing before release)

"Leftover items still have value!"Classic and All-Star are always in, but I wouldn't expect much more except for maybe one new mode, maybe a return of Melee's Adventure if that one pic of Snake in what looks like Gaur Plains with the mushroom enemy from Earthbound pans out.
My pipe dream is a mode based on the Great Cave Offensive from Kirby Super Star, where you pick a team of characters and go exploring in a massive maze filled with traps, treasures, enemies and bosses. Expand on that little hunk of rock from Smash Run and cut out the part where you do a crappy stat boosted battle; I wanted to explore more!
What gives me hope is that Sakurai himself said that there was going to be a new one player mode that you'd use to unlock most of the characters. Unless all it takes to unlock everyone is going through Classic or Allstar a couple of times, it's gotta be something with some sort of substance.
Doctor Who — Long Way Around: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13536044/1/Doctor-Who-Long-Way-AroundHe said unlocking was streamlined, not that there was a mode for it.
I'm guessing multiple unlock conditions like Smash battles at multiples of 5 or 10, completing Classic Mode with certain characters, or buying them with Coins.
He's not gonna cut out the Smash...of Smash run.
If explorative Smash is gonna happen, it's gonna be a separate mode like it should be.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Smash Run would be cool to see return, but my favorite single player mode has always been the Event Mode. So many fun and creative ideas already and now they have literally the entire roster plus more to choose from.
If Event Mode comes back, I am absolutely calling an event where you have to fight and KO assist trophies instead of fighters.
Also, Trouble King 3 featuring my boy, King K. Rool. Just sayin'.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?Oh yes I'd love to see Event Mode return, those were fun
"Leftover items still have value!"Event Mode has been in every game since at least Melee (except 3DS maybe?) so I think it's safe to assume it will return.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?I'd rather Nintendo reveal more info like once a month in order to keep the hype train going.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!Unless they only have three or four newcomers (including Echo Fighters) left, I don't see why they wouldn't have one reveal a month, or at least two sets of reveals (possibly one in August, another in November) between now and December.
This is not the greatest signature in the world, no... this is just a tribute.
Can confirm. It's not there.
Agreed, granted I do think there were a shit ton of info about this game it is, but I would like something keep me hype besides the game's existence
It doesn't have to be just character reveal, it could be anything really.
Could the hype train ever even stop?
I was Level 20 Promoted Fangirl but the confirmation email never sent, so I'm Best Waifu now. Profile picture drawn by me.Are all the Mii Fighters' Character Customization outfits from the previous game confirmed to be returning?
I don't know if the licensed outfits like the Akira, Heihachi, Lloyd, and Geno costumes will be returning, but I'll be disappointed if basic stuff like the Samurai, Ninja, Plate Armor, and Mage Robe outfits aren't.

Then what does it mean if Occam's Razor doesn't apply in this situation?
