To be fair, that maybe might have survived if they got really lucky
Anyway, I do kinda feel odd about Paradox embracing the memetic dark humor crowd since lots of genuinely offensive or creepy people tend to hide in that crowd under guise of "Hey, its just a joke"
Blod?
True, but there are plenty of offensive people not hiding at all in the less darkly humorous crowd as well. The ones who outright scream when Paradox changes something to be more "PC." The games are known more for the dark humor than the legit gameplay, even though more players do things honest than dark. I remember a survey saying most players don't go xenophobe in Stellaris. Hell, I only do it for the population boost and easy expansion. Even then I don't usually go Total War. Might go slave empire, mind you, but not to the point where I'm genociding my neighbors most of the time.

I wonder how many things from CK 2 are going to carry over into 3. I hope all of them.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.We know that several DLC features will appear and they'll be improved, such as being able to choose a focus for one's character with a new skill tree.
While some will not, such as playing as a Nomad or merchant republic.
"Sandwiches are probably easier to fix than the actual problems" -HylarnCKIII Is coming?! Hyped!
Will most/all of the Religions be available at the start? Or are we going to have to wait for DLC to play more then Christian Europe?
Where is Vicky 3
New theme music also a boxBy the way, guys, Crusader Kings 2 just updated with a new mode: The Monarch's Journey, where you play a set character with a number of challenges that give points you can use to get cosmetics. It's also apparently a part of the "journey" to CK 3, but I can't find any details on that.
Oh, and if you're on Linux, you don't apply for the journey, for... some reason.
With the CK 3 screenshot, I'm wondering if it's an active realm thing. It looks like the screenshot is from the perspective of someone playing with France, so you may see your own realm's political divisions but not the ones of other realms.
So a screenshot from the perspective of someone in the HRE would show the HRE as a mess and France as one big blob.

My understanding is that, yes, you can play with the whole map.
What I heard is that the Nomad features won't be on release, but you can still play as the characters who were previously nomad, they will share mechanics with the other tribes. Merchant republics are unplayable, though.
Yeah, that was pointed to me and it is probably true. A shame, I really want more interesting vassal mechanics.
You mean the Blot?
Yes, that's the one, sorry for the misspelling.
Optimism is a duty.So we have a release date on the Lithoids but not on the Federation DLC. But, on the upside, we can finally make something like the Battletech Star League.

That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.If you subscribe to CK3's mail list you'll get The Old God's expansion for free.
Which is pretty cool for those of us who only have vanilla CK 2.

"Sandwiches are probably easier to fix than the actual problems" -HylarnMan, the users on the CK 2 Facebook groups I'm in are butthurt about Deus Vult being dropped. I mean, seriously...
"...in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach."Quite, it's literally in a handful of events and yet morons on the forum are acting as if it's some horrible atrocity.
"Sandwiches are probably easier to fix than the actual problems" -HylarnIts not they've deleted the word from existence, sheesh
New theme music also a boxBy the way, the deus vult thing turned out to be a case of miscommunication.

Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen. What, is it in the game? Or is it in the game but translated into the user's language of choice?
"...in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach."So from the looks of it the interviewer probably asked a loaded question along the lines of "will the racist meme 'deus vult' still be in the game?" and they naturally denied including racist stuff, which the interviewer interpreted as them removing the phrase wholesale.
After seeing the reaction to the "removal" I kinda want them to go ahead with it anyway. It is not that important or a big part of the game and it clearly makes a lot of racists mad, so I see no downside.
Personally, I don't care either way.
I'm just sick and tired of fascists constantly brigading grand strategy subreddits.
Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen.
Oh, I'm sure the Blod will make a return.
