Dragon Ball Multiverse

There does certainly seem to be an implication that there's more to the cross dimensional travel than is being let on, since Zen!Buu copied the tech down to the last circuit but his didn't work.

It was mentioned that for some strange quirk only Universe 1 is capable of dimensional travel.

Universe 1 natives are the only ones capable of utilizing universal travel technology purely because Salagir doesn't want Universe 4's Buu to return. That's it. It's just a Deus ex Machina to stop Buu. There is no 'Watsonian' reason, only the Doylist reason of wanting to write Buu out of the story.

He had one broken move and once you get past it, he goes down easily. We've seen his type in DB many times. One Trick Ponies can't do much if you can get past their one trick.

You know, leaving him and grievously wounded is actually a pretty practical move. Yamcha doesn't know how the spell works, so by wounding him so bad, he encourages I'k'l to ensure the time stop ends so he gets healed.

So the question is if that energy blast lands in the next few pages or a few years down the line.

Also, yet another reason for Vegito's inevitable rampage.

New mini comic

I like this comic but Salagir has a talent for hyping up story beats then following up with the most boring information possible.

A story about what happened when the cyborgs won?At least its following a cyborg fight I guess.

Hig biggest failing as a writer is relying too much on specials/flashbacks. Just put the comic on hiatus for a week or 2.

I can share that sentiment. The fact that it was like...what? A couple months of that Bojack special in anticipation for the Gast vs. XXI fight, only to come back to...admittedly not a bad detour, but still a detour nonetheless.

And now we're going to be waiting a couple months again for the Gast vs. XXI fight...assuming the next chapter isn't Vegito rampaging.

I would have to imagine that by now all the plot developments and story beats that the main narrative is going to have must be done, right? It's just hard to believe that this fan comic has been around since before Super or even Battle of Gods were things. It's been going for a little over 16 years at this point, and we still have no idea how long it's going to take for it to actually wrap up.

This comic started on the same month as Dragon Ball Abridged. Both predate Son Goku and his Friends Return, debuting when the most recent Dragon Ball stuff was pretty much Tenkaichi 3.

Comic had been running for half a decade when Battle of Gods released.

The specials are just there to provide content while the main artist draws up the next chapter.

Which, well, makes sense and is fair. But yeah after 16 years it's very much a tedious pattern now, like 20 pages of the main story then 20-40 pages of backstory for characters who's long been ejected.

Didn't we get like 3 specials in a row once?
