I think you're overthinking on that "actual baron" thing. It's just an expression for "I can't believe he's RIGHT HERE". Remember, he is on a short trip. It's too quick for there to be imposters. Now after he's dead, hell yes there will be imposters.
..Unless Gil's people are using officially-sanctioned imposters to hide the fact that he's gone. Yeah yeah,

Meanwhile, we're all thinking one thing: What happened to Agatha's clothes?
Burned off during the Ascension. I think. It's a bit unclear.
Interesting that both samples of Other speak at the same moment in the same way. Simple synchronicity, or something else?
Well, only Agatha can save them now. Or not?
Yup, probably, but there are enough wildcards at hand for something else to happen.
I can't help but wonder what'll happen if Lucrezia gets removed while all this is going on.
"Why would I inflict myself on somebody else?"Apparently the process for Albia's size-changing shenanigans was, in fact, obvious.
Also, her clothes are fluctuating again, although this at least can probably be explained by Ultra-Spark shenanigans. Doesn't really explain the temporary shift in the last strip, though.

maybe a time window will open unexpectedly and we'll see agatha, gil in a geister suit, and moloch looking for something gil wanted to see again, which distracts lu enough to enable gil and tarvek to turn the machine on
honestly, i think "time window randomly opens causing distraction" is gonna be my prediction for every predicament left in the comic
I wrote about a fish turning into the moon. That's my prediction, she'll somehow get knocked down/distracted long enough for the extraction to happen, and she will still be a Queen, and proceed to cause more damage.
I'm expecting that they manage to extract Lucrezia but because of wibbly wobbly worble this has a side effect of also removing Agatha's ability to become an overpowered goddess, because Status Quo Is King and a godlike Agatha would ruin the plot. And I expect that they succeed at that by removing the locket, which previously held Lucrezia down, but is now holding Agatha down - maybe Lucrezia will even triumphally remove the locket herself, as an ironic echo of the time she put it on.
The gripe now is that I feel that the whole double ascension is troubled by a detail: Don't know how to put it but it feels off... narratively speaking. Don't know how to explain it but it has been feeling like that but it can be justified later but at the moment it seems like someone scratched the discs.
Well here goes nothingThey're running late. I hope they don't decide to throw a filler page in.
Eh, they've been partying for Halloween, give them a bit of slack :)
Guess the Professor and Professora had the get all the characters together.
Anyway, who hesitated now?

Yeah, I'd consider bolting for the airlock out of there if I were one of the red-faceplates...
So, time for a scene change, or a time skip, or a side story!
here's hoping lady steelgarter is up to no good
I wrote about a fish turning into the moon.So we're (finally) up for several pages of Improbable Violence, an Extremely Improbable Escape, and a Ridiculously Impossible recapture.
Pardon the joke but I think this will be the fitting tune for this development: here
Because hijinks will ensue and better to put the proper tune.
I think that the Foglios either had this buildup in the works or like Tarvek it went out of their rails...
Well here goes nothingWe'll know it's a Big Story Turning Point when Bang shows up as a glutten-for-mayhem. I can see her saving Zeetha just so she can have the privilege of killing Zeetha.
Monday. In which the most expendable spear-carrier of the group evidently gets expended. I predict she'll fend off attacks from everyone and use up her power the same way Snacky did, leading to Agatha taking back control long enough for the helmet to be slapped on and used.
How long has it been since a named good guy got killed? Surely there's been one since Lars.
I for one am glad to see that Oggie seems to be doing okay.
