Klaus spent time in Skifander and likely heard about their long-gone queen. He also knew about Albia.
If he could figure out how to trigger it, if not in himself then in Gil, then Gil would be forever safe.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettDouble post because page!
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettPrevious page: "One of the last great god-queens".
So ... who are the others? Some off in the inaccessible Americas? And maybe THE Other?
Man, that second breakthrough was a doozy!
If it moves, eat it. If it doesn't move, kick it—then eat it!So this looks like The citadel of Silver Light, no? Could also be known as Avalon, Yggdrasil, TÃr na nÓg ...
I'm still wondering how we got here from the last time we saw them

"Give sorrow words; The grief that does not speak knits up the o'er-wrought heart, and bids it break." William Shakespeare - MacbethI doubt it very much. The Citadel is Lucrezia's stronghold, not Albia's.
http://www.mansionofe.com@Greybeard: it was discussed several pages/weeks ago, at the party, I think. The Queens are why Albia's been sending out her expeditions. They found one, but most of the expeditions that made it back had nothing.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettAh, maybe, but that information would be in the book (which I haven't read), not the comic. In the comic, all that we know is that no one has been able to find it but Lucrezia knows where it is. Which fits this Avalon Tree well. I guess we'll learn more shortly.
Or not. The Foglio's love to tease.
If it moves, eat it. If it doesn't move, kick it—then eat it!Oh my little green ducks, apples, and garters.

Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettSo ... how many pages do you think this sequence will run? Will there be another full page of intro, or will the next page take us into the red center of the steak?
I'm not worried, the Foglios are good at keeping things moving briskly.
Yay, I expect exposition galore in the coming pages!
Heh. Not really how human memory works, but a cool idea.
"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."A double-plus Spark? "Human" may no longer apply.
I'm really hoping that this will lead to us getting some more information on the spark in general- that's always been one of the most interesting aspects of the comic to me. (New poster, longtime reader)
We've seen Sparks transferring and/or uploading minds; I don't see why memory-transfer to external storage would be impossible, particularly for a double Spark.
That raises an interesting question: Does hitting God-Mode Spark increase the spark by a multiplier or exponentially?
In other news, FINALLY finished the 3,500 word (plus) essay for English that's due on Monday. That's half the final. The other half was the presentation -which I aced.
Then math final on Monday and I'm goooood for the quarter!
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettFaster than exponentially, I should say. Look up tetration. Or if you wish to be more modest, factorials grow faster than exponentials in the limit. A double-factorial will grow quite fast, too.
Don't forget parabolic growth!
Even weak Sparks seem to break that one, especially when they work together. Hmm. Wonder if there's a clue in that, with the likes of the god-queens benefitting from multiple Sparking.
Interesting that the super-Sparks are queens but the Heterodynes rarely produce girls. I wonder what the timeline between the god-queens and the H'trok-Dyn is.
It's being hinted that the god-queens are a lot older than the Heterodynes. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a queen in the Mechanicsburg area that was replaced by the first Heterodyne, either directly or they filled a power vacuum after her death.

Yeah, prior to yesterday's comic, I thought that too, scion. But this new information has me considering old facts in a new light.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.
