Pretty sure they did finalize it. Suki and Sokka lived out the rest of their days, and Sokka died or whatever.
That doesn't tell us much. Did they get married? Have kids? How'd they die? What'd they do in their adult lives?
and what happened with the sexual tension between suki and zuko in the comics
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Legend of Korra: 0/10, never got to see Sokka as an old man. I am sure he'd make all the dumb jokes well until the day he died.
Sokka got screwed by the "My brother and most of my friends are gone" torch-passing speech. All the others could just dance around the "most of my friends" bit by going, "She was TOTES talking about all those OTHER friends she probably made off-screen." But she explicitly said "my brother", so Sokka couldn't wishy-wash his way back into existence once three more seasons of the show were ordered.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.It would of been cool if the gaang got together at one point when they grew old with Aang replaced by a younger Korra. Either that or have Aang pull a Kiyoshi and have him some how live to be technically 200 years.
Honestly that was one my more sillier issues with Korra. We never got to see the full Gaang together as crotchety old folks.

It is kinda weird how some Avatars seem to have normal lifespans, while others live to a supernaturally old age. Is this ever explained?
Optimism is a duty.I think they all have potential for long lives, some just die young. Aang had most of his lifespan sapped away by the iceberg hybernation per WOG. That said, Kyoshi aged a lot more gracefully than Roku, for instance. Or maybe it's the makeup.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.The Avatars don't exactly appear to look how they did at the moment of their death anyway. The Aang that appears to Korra is younger then the one that Tenzin remembers in fog jail.
According to the wiki:
- Kuruk died at 35, and was the shortest lived Avatar
- Kyoshi died at 230, and was the longest lived
- Roku died at 70 but was showing his age already, even though life seemed pretty leisurely for his last couple decades
I liked that Azula didn't have a redemption arc in the show. It's always nice to have diversity in villain arcs.
There is no war in Ba Sing Se.I'm halfway on the matter - I'd take the redemption arc, but not in a fourth season of the show. Avatar as a show with just a trilogy of seasons is perfect, and it ended on the perfect note. The Azula redemption arc could be saved for whatever continuation came up (that in an ideal world, Aaron Ehasz would be a part of that, since the actual comics continuation we got are )
So, err, I just learned that a live action series was in the works for this since last year. Has there been any new info on it?
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo. Not as far as we know.
At the very least, I don't think any of us has heard any publicized news updates about it.
So, I got all nostalgic listening to this song and it got me thinking:
Would anyone be up for a group/troper rewatch of TLA if we planned it like a month in advance? We all set a date to rewatch it on Netflix and just post our thoughts/hindsight impressions. I've seen other places like reddit and tumbr organize things like this but I don't know if it's ever been done here, or if it has whether we just use this thread, or if we should start a thread in Yackfest.
Here's how I see it:
- Let's say we start Book 1 in May, next month
- May 1st is on a Monday, so say the week after, on May 8th, we start Book 2, and May 15th the following Monday we start Book 3
- we can adjust the times/dates of course
- specific times aren't necessary/are probably a bad idea anyway
Books 1 and 2 are 20 episodes and Book 3 is 21. I think they were 20-30 minute episodes each. And looking at Google it's telling me that they were actually 23 minutes.
EDIT: So, yeah, maybe more than a week to watch/catch up. I don't know. Thoughts?
PM or post here, if interested, whichever. I, at least, am going to start posting an obnoxious amount about my rewatch. I've been looking for a reason to rewatch TLA and LOK for awhile now and this seemed more interactive. For those like me who don't have a readily available friend/coworker/family, or if you have those things but they don't like Avatar for some unearthly reason.

Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).I'm totally up for that. Especially since I'm currently writing an AU fanfic of the series.
The fanfic is called "Shatterpoint", if anyone is interested in reading it. It's up on FF.net.
Ah-ha! Excellent!
I'll glimpse at the fic. It sounds like it's going to be...time-bendy-ish? For Want of A Nail-ish? Time travel-ish?
It sounds like the name of a Marvel comic I read once.
EDIT: Reality check. In the LOK thread someone suggested doing maybe 3 episodes a week. I suggest maybe 1-2 a week. Open to suggestions/changes.

Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).1-2 episodes a week sounds sweet!
By the way, thanks for expressing an interest in my "Shatterpoint" fanfic.
My profile name on FF.net is "Transformers 0". So that you can find it easier to look for.
I still watch highlights from the show from time to time.
But it's been more than ten years! Release a full goddamn OST already!
Qui odoratus est qui fecit.Lots of great shows from the turn of the century lack a full OST release.
One a week would be ideal, I think.
Optimism is a duty. So, if you could change the opening narration for each season, how would it be?
Wake me up at your own risk.I'd keep the start the same for but switch up the rest for the following books.
Book Two:
First half of Book Three:
Second half of Book Three:
They aren't perfect but I think they'd be a decent intros if we had to switch it up.

If anyone's still reading it, is there anything new regarding Suki or Sokka, specifically, Suki/Sokka as a pairing? I wish they'd finalize it.
The sad, REAL American dichotomy
