  • Some fans theorize that Avery was secretly harboring a crush on Brian, and her bullying of Jessica was motivated by jealousy over Brian and Jessica being so close.
  • Is Avery's show of remorse at the end genuine regret for her actions or is she just sorry that she was caught by irrefutable evidence and trying to focus attention/sympathy back on herself?
• The Woobie: Jessica, due to all the Hell Avery and her Girl Posse put her through. Brian as well, for having to witness his best friend be tormented so badly and powerless to help, and for his obvious stress and grief over Jessica’s suicide attempt, with him not knowing if she will survive. Avery could be seen as a Jerk Ass Woobie given her dysfunctional family/home life and becomes a full-on Woobie post-Heel Realization.
