• Heartwarming Moments: While the original Ectospasm had Retro relentlessly taunt you every time you died, here Retro gives words of encouragement to Ace to push him to try and attempt to perform a faster song than he's used to, even calling him his little blue snowball, and when the song is finished Retro has no words except for a simple "I love you." It even ends off with a picture of the two hugging each other.
• That One Attack: The beginning of "Frostbite" can be brutal with the intense scroll speed and rapid strings of notes that are accompanied by dozens of ice notes. This makes it very easy to mess up and accidentally hit the ice notes, reducing your health down to near zero in just a second due to all the missed notes from a single mistake, and the section lasts nonstop for 40 seconds.
