• Tear Jerker: When Varric turns his back on a dream in which he is still together with his first love, Bianca.
  • Again in the final issue, when Alistair chooses to destroy the artifact keeping Maric alive. The comic ends on a somber note, with an image of Alistair ruling Ferelden ... unhappily. When Varric reflects on whether Alistair did the right thing, he admits that he doesn't know, just as no one can be completely sure of their actions.
