• Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: The camping scene sticks out like a sore thumb. A whole minute of slow panning shots over the sleepers in their tents while ominous music plays. Then the scene ends... and it's the next morning, Thunderbird 1 is repaired, and it's time to leave!
• Bizarro Episode: While most episodes of Thunderbirds are centered around the rescue, this is a character episode built around Scott. When we finally get to the rescue, it's just an excuse to get Scott into a secret base and blow it up.
