• Germans Love David Hasselhoff: Milan Kundera is hugely popular in Mexican and Peruvian intellectual circles already, but this book, in particular, is rather common in some high school curricula over there. However, Kundera is also hugely popular and widely discussed and part of high school curricula in his native Czech Republic. A scandal revealing his collaboration with the communist regime's secret police before he emigrated somewhat destroyed his reputation, though.
