YMMV / The Lockhorns

Go To

  • Too Bleak, Stopped Caring: It's a strip that plays a bad marriage for laughs. Of course this would be too much for some.
  • Tear Jerker: Thinkin' about it, the couple's relationship. They clearly loved each other, otherwise, they'd not have married, but, now, they don't seem like they can stand each other. ''What'' happened to them?
  • Values Dissonance: A lot of people would be wonderin' why the Lockhorns don't just split for all that vitriol in their marriage but, back then, in 1968, divorces weren't a simple process, as 1) No-Faults divorces weren't in existence until 1969 and 2), the concept hadn't really caught on, until much later.
