YMMV / The Flipside of Dominick Hide

• Hilarious in Hindsight: Dominick's wife Ava works for the travel agency Tom Cook (previously called Thomas Cook) in 2130, which clearly survived the Holocaust of 1999 intact. In reality, Thomas Cook collapsed in 2019 after 178 years in operation.
• Retroactive Recognition:
  • Phil Davis played Tosh.
  • David Griffin played Carl Morgan.
• Sequelitis: Another Flip for Dominick is not as well received for primarily two reasons:
  • It undoes the "happy" ending of the first installment.
  • Instead of the human story at the heart of Flipside, it has a fairly standard time travel runaround.
• Values Dissonance: Jim Bone speaks of his belief that Dominick is "back from a spell up the Amazon, selling Christianity to the Wam-Wams." A turn of phrase that would be mildly incorrect in 1980, but is shockingly racist now.
