- Some Anvils Need to be Dropped:
- Although this is ostensibly a Sex Comedy, the series also takes pains to illustrate that gender and sexual morals are largely arbitrary and nonsensical and would seem rather trivial from an outside perspective.
- It also subtly criticizes Sex as Rite-of-Passage. Most of the characters have a distinct fascination with sex to the point of obsession, but they react to it in different ways; Kawashima is positively ecstatic that she punched her V-card, while Kanzaki (and the alternate Momona) mess up Their First Time, and nothing changes about their personalities. They're still the same people; they just have sex now.
