• Broken Base: Viewers are divided over Teana's defection in the wake of the White Devil Incident. Some agree that Nanoha was not a good teacher for Teana and/or that blasting Teana into unconsciousness was not something any teacher should do. Others, however, suggest that Teana missed the point of what Nanoha was trying to tell her, and that Teana's reasons, however valid they may be, don't justify essentially deserting the unit (which is also Out of Character for someone trying to become a good mage and redeem her family name).
• Unintentionally Unsympathetic: Similar to Broken Base, some reviewers don't consider Teana's decision to go AWOL in a fit of anger to be a poor decision that is completely unbecoming a soldier like her, and believe she ended up as a Karma Houdini in the end.
