• Anticlimax:
  • The fight between Amaltea and Nimuriana for Ossian feels incredibly rushed, with it just being a few pages long with it ending with Nimuriana fleeing after Amaltea and Dorotea wounded her dragon.
  • Throughout the comic, it heavily hinted that Ossian was possibly gang raped by a group of women. When we finally see the event in question, it's just a few panels of Ossian being chased and cornered by some women before being rescued and kidnapped by Nimuriana. While it's more than possible that Ossian was traumatized by the event, the scene had been built up to be much more frightening than it was and his near rapes by Yokis and Dorotea was much more up close and terrifying.
• Ass Pull: Queen Ylvasin using her magic to disguise herself as both Lokis the bandit and Nimuriana the dragon witch. As Lokis, she would have needed to be a full time bandit leader and, despite her claims that she was just testing her son's fidelity, she tried to force herself on him sexually against his wishes. Nimuriana was introduced shortly after Lokis and was shown being openly angry that Ossian escaped the tower, even though Ylvasin should have already known he was gone.
• Unintentionally Unsympathetic: Dorotea bullies her sister, tortured Tibus for information and nearly raped Ossian. Despite this, the final volume clumsily tries to assert that she always cared for her sister and her assault on Ossian was her attempt to make them closer by giving them a common foe to bond over, which even if that's true then it was still an atrocious act. Nevertheless, Ossian chooses to forgive her and continues letting her escort him and Amaltea to his home.
