• Idiot Ball It goes unpunished, but after realizing that Noah's foresight can't see angelic beings and thus that the only way to ambush him without him knowing hours in advance is to send Cass and Jack after him on their own, the Winchesters still burst into the room and join the ambush less than a minute into it; meaning if Noah "had" used his fore-sight he would've seen the ambush coming anyways. Inexplicably, it seems he just didn't.
• Just Hiding: It's not entirely out of the question that Michael survived and is just using Jack's body as a host.
• Special Effect Failure The shot of Noah getting decapitated is astonishingly poor CGI.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: Rowena agrees to become Michael's host after he threatens her friends and promises to spare them. It's ridiculously naive for a centuries-old witch like Rowena to not expect him to immediately go back on his word. It would have been far more believable for Rowena to perform a Face–Heel Turn if Michael had offered to resurrect Crowley, as Rowena had previously been shown to be ready to go war with Death over him.
