• Nightmare Fuel: For being a candy-colored game about cute lesbians going on adventures, there is a surprising amount of it.
  • After beating the first dungeon boss, the door to the room is mysteriously closed off and another hallway has opened, leading the party deep into caves far away from where they were. Then reality itself starts glitching out...
  • At one point the party has to split up and explore a facility which is filled with mana in the air due to a gas leak. This becomes a nightmare as Melody begins seeing weird dark versions of monsters, is stuck in a seemingly endless repeating room, and eventually gets followed... by herself.
  • The Crypt: An optional late-game dungeon filled with dark endless pits and mysterious contraptions. You can also find a spellbook in this dungeon called "Reaper" that uses HP instead of MP to cast spells. When the party finds it, they have a serious conversation about whether using it or not is even safe, giving off an eery vibe compared to most of the amusing comments made about loot.
