• Adorkable:
  • Shiny: The way he goofs off a lot and gets exited about things is very dorky, and could be seen as endearing to some.
  • Thunder: His seriousness about the mission juxtapositioned with his occasional attempts to relax like Shiny could come off as rather wholesome.
  • Alex: The way she gets excited about science stuff, a commonly dorky trait, can be very endearing to some.
• What Do You Mean, It's for Kids?: Well for the most part it is, except for the shocking amount of Death as Comedy and abundance of mild swears like "Screwed" and "Crap", and for the notable amount of times a character is about to say a curse word and then is cut off.
• The Woobie: Alex has been through a lot. Her parents have been lost for most of her life, she is solely responsible for building the technology that keeps the Earth safe from the kaiju, and pretty much everything is trying to kill her. The poor kid needs a break.
