For the last two edits, since I accidentally didn't add reasons on the first: Kanade's weird knowledge about murders and strange attitude towards them is shown early and often in both prior chapters. I understand (but still disagree with) thinking her having such a high body count was a bit too out there, but claiming her being a serial killer had no foreshadowing at all is absurd even by YMMV standards. The Captain Obvious Reveal entry on this page even points out how heavily it was foreshadowed, and why it serves a purpose. Besides that, describing some people's opinions of her character as "examining in a more critical eye" unfairly implies a less critical view from the other side. Since it seemed a bit one-sided I wanted to add some of the counterpoints to these arguments as well.

* CharacterPerceptionEvolution: Kanade Otonokoji was initially very well-liked [[spoiler: in a LoveToHate sense]] to the extent of getting 2nd place in an official popularity poll due to one big reason: [[spoiler:Chapter 3 and its revelation that she was a truly vile and depraved SerialKiller remorselessly removing anybody getting in-between herself and her demented love for her twin sister Hibiki, while being highly intelligent and going to very extreme lengths to avoid being caught]]. After the game concluded and the hype died down, Kanade began to be re-examined, with detractors arguing that she and the twists concerning her ultimately lacked relevance to the overall plot, [[spoiler:that her EvilAllAlong twist was too over-the-top and reliant on shock value to be taken seriously, her status as a SerialKiller with a high body count, much like Korekiyo from ''V3'', was not sufficiently foreshadowed and is based mostly in [[InformedAttribute what the character relays to us rather than on-screen murders]], that her {{Yandere}} "love" for Hibiki and how she gets aroused by Hibiki's trauma and despair was needlessly overdone to the point of seeming like VillainousIncest, and the idea of a simple teenage musician being able to get away with over 60 murders without even being suspected, and what she was shown to accomplish such as literally [[PeoplePuppets controlling Hibiki's actions]] whenever her sister went into [[HeroicBSOD a shellshocked state of mind]] and being able to time a double stabbing of Setsuka perfectly, broke the WillingSuspensionOfDisbelief]]. While Kanade is far from being legitimately hated, and others still argue that [[spoiler:her over-the-top nature as a villain works to make her more compelling and threating, while illustrating the threat of Divine Luck when she ultimately loses,]] she is now [[BaseBreakingCharacter more divisive]] than she used to be.
