YMMV / South Park S 23 E 10 Christmas Snow

Go To

  • Accidental Aesop:
    • The damage the adults cause while driving after using Randy's marijuana is Played for Laughs, but it also implies that driving a car while high on marijuana is just as dangerous as driving one while drunk (which still hasn't been conclusively proven).
    • Banning a drug doesn't make people stop wanting it, and they might start using other things that give a similar feeling.
    • Conversely, making a drug legal doesn't stop it from being addictive and dangerously debilitating, especially when distribution is handled by companies with dubious ethics, who "forget" to mention exactly what their product is made from.
  • Designated Villain: Santa is treated like a villain for trying to stop the adults from drinking and driving which can, and has caused fatalities.
  • Esoteric Happy Ending: In a sense. Yes, the episode ends on a happy note, with the adults finally getting their holiday spirit and Randy's new product proves to be a success. However, Randy's new product happens to be cocaine, and the reason why the adults were so happy was because they get to drive while high on it, not caring if it leads to numerous car accidents and deaths. To make matters worse, Randy manages to get cocaine legalized just so he can sell it. With Tegridy Farms still going, who the hell knows what other drugs Randy intends to get legalized?
