- Ass Pull: Midoriya passes the entrance exam by saving Ochako from the Zero Pointer just like in canon. How did he do it, given that he's Quirkless here? Your guess is as good as ours, as the story doesn't say.
- Harsher in Hindsight: After the reveal in Chapter 304 of the manga, Kirishima getting One for All is this. At best, he'll die by the age of 33 due to already having a Quirk. And that's only if the drain on Quirked holders hasn't gotten worse since the fourth holder, who only lived 18 years after getting it before it killed him.
- Possible in light of the above, the work has a tag "We’re just gonna pretend Chapter 304 didn’t happen mmkay?" Thus Kirishima is presumably free from being killed off by One for All.
