• Berserk Button: Don't EVER compare Skindred to Bad Brains. Benji has said in the past that the kind of people who compare Skindred to Bad Brains are people who don't know anything about reggae music. Ouch.
• Epic Riff: Predictably for a metal-influenced band, there are plenty of them. They're not always on guitars either: "Stand For Something" has one that's played on a synthesizer!
• Fandom Rivalry: With Babymetal. Happened because of an incident where Benji attempted to banter with the group during their acceptance speech for the Best Live Band award at the 2016 Kerrang! Awards. Benji has since apologised for it on his Twitter account and clarified that he had not been briefed properly on how to talk to the group and if he had been told that their English was very poor he wouldn't have said anything.
• Long-Runner Line-up: The core lineup of the band (Benji, Daniel, Mikey and Arya) has been the same since 2002. The band counts as a Long Runner itself as it's been active since 1998 without any breaks in activity.
• Signature Song: "Nobody"
  • "Warning" has become one in more recent times, due to its association with the Newport Helicopter.
