- Crosses the Line Twice: All the time. One highlight being Mr. Gormsby dressing as a Māori Rangatira, complete with facial tattoos (highly taboo for non-Māori to wear), the boys of 5F wearing blackface, and the lot of them performing a racist song about offensive African American stereotypes rewritten to depict Māori as lazy and wanting only to eat Mahi-mahi. And the performance gets a standing ovation!
- Heartwarming Moments:
- Gormsby's reference for Hohepa: "To whom it may concern. Elvis Hohepa is a reprehensible rapscallion! But a boy worth saving. Mortimer Ellis Gormsby."
- In a cringey kind of way, 5F's attempts to make Ms O'Flaherty feel better after her abortion. Yes, the attempts all backfired horribly, but they tried. They may be a bunch of ratbags, but they're fundamentally good people.
- Moral Event Horizon: Steve gets Ms O'Flaherty pregnant and makes her have an abortion. Two episodes before, he dumped Ms Partington for her.
