• Ass Pull: The chili peppers under Speedy’s hat, which he uses to defeat the lion.
• Fanon Discontinuity: The Daffy and Speedy era tend to be rather polarizing among Looney Tunes fans, but not even fans of this era will defend this short (rare exceptions aside). Most fans feel that the preceding "Skyscraper Caper" would have been a better note for Daffy and Speedy to go out on, since that one at least showed them as actually being friends.
• Took the Bad Film Seriously: As hated as this cartoon is, fans won't deny that Mel Blanc's voice acting is as excellent as it always is.
