• Alternative Character Interpretation: Was the supposed initiation for Tiny where he had to live on bread and water for a week just a prank or a Secret Test of Character to get him to stand up for himself after spending the whole movie thinking he'd be fine just doing what other people told him to do?
• Don't Shoot the Message: College hazing can be a real problem, and in the decades since the movie was made some people have died as a result of hazing in ways far more disturbing than dying of fright in a mausoleum.
• Padding: The movie would have only been 10 minutes long otherwise.
