- Misaimed Fandom: Shaver's mythos is used by some believers to justify certain racist attitudes. Even setting aside the specifics (the less said about them the better) Shaver's work, in its own esoteric and weird way, has a lot of anti-racist themes celebrating diversity and race-mixing, and makes clear that becoming "ro" is not a matter of race.
