  • Broken Base: The Outer Ones. Is it a challenging but rewarding album that allows Dave and Dan to stretch their creative muscles and write stuff that's more reflective of what they're currently into, or is it a plodding, bloated midpaced slog with a bunch of stuff that is too complicated for its own good?
  • Colbert Bump: "Communion", thanks to an appearance in Power Rangers.
  • Ensemble Dark Horse: They are one of the most loved and respected Technical Death Metal bands in recent times, often cited for their ability to meld technicality with memorable songwriting.
  • Seasonal Rot: The self-titled. While it has its fans, most of the fanbase considers it to be an uninspired, inconsistent album that doesn't know what it wants to be. The band also considers it to be their worst, and aside from "The Hive", they have not played anything from it live in years.
  • Signature Song: "Communion", especially thanks to its inclusion in Power Rangers. Zigzagged in that they do not always play it live.
