• Overshadowed by Controversy: "Man's Best Friend" was banned due to a scene with Ren violently beating George Liquor with an oar. It was also one of the possible reasons why John Kricfalusi was fired from the show.^note Although John K. primarily used the episode as a scapegoat for his termination from the show, instead, he was fired mostly for Schedule Slips, how expensive the production of each episode is, and fights with censors in 1992. Despite this, fans still consider it one of the funniest episodes of the show.
