• Unintentional Period Piece: The episode was a pretty specific parody of the prank TV shows that were around in the mid-late 1990s. In particular, Kryten is seen sweeping the floor and wearing a fake beard while Lister is unknowingly trashing Ackerman's quarters; anyone who saw the episode on its first broadcast would recognize this as a Shout-Out to 1980s and 1990s television prankster Jeremy Beadle, but to younger viewers it simply appears that Kryten is wearing a comically Paper-Thin Disguise for no real reason.
