- Archive Panic: Fassbinder made his first feature film, Love Is Colder Than Death, in 1969. He made his last, Querelle, in 1982. In the meantime, he made forty-two other feature films and TV dramas, including the 14-part, 900-minute miniseries adapting Berlin Alexanderplatz. Lists of his best films tend to be longer than some directors' entire filmographies.
