• Hilarious in Hindsight: When Shellder clamps on Psyduck's tail, Ash remarks that it's a Psybro. Later, Shellder would clamp on Psyduck's head, which, as it turns out, would make it a Psyking. Adding on to this, Slowking becomes a lot more intelligent upon evolution.
• Memetic Mutation: The "conversation" between Psyduck and Slowpoke has been put through the meme wringer plenty of times.
