• Awesome Music: Original remixes are featured all throughout the series, with some being available on Youtube and Spotify.
• Base-Breaking Character: Crim, the main rival, can be seen as either an okay rival with a unique plot twist, or a generic rival with far less development than the average non-friendly rival. His decision to join Team Tundra can be seen as petty since his only motivation is wanting to beat Reed/Wendy, even though he has shown himself to be a competent trainer in his own right. Most agree, though, that his future self's redemption was emotionally satisfying.
• So Okay, It's Average: While the project was a novelty in and of itself, the Norcloh region can come off as a basic Pokemon region, especially since it stays within the confines of what fans have come to expect from an average mainline title. The same basic gameplay mechanics are implied to return here (like the use of HMs) and the plot comes off as a mix of the Hoenn and Sinnoh stories.
