• Fridge Brilliance: Leslie dying so quickly when he got sick makes sense even if it was indeed the Infection: human zombies mainly feed via photosynthesis, and when there's not enough light, the parasite starts crippling the host (creating the Crawlers in process). But for weakened host (at the very least, it's known that he was beaten into submission by his "friend" David) whose mutation starts in the dark basement, the process was proven fatal.
