• Broken Base: This episode giving Regina a soulmate is a major point of debate in the fandom even to this day. One group loved it as a way to give Regina a romance and a chance at a happy ending. Meanwhile, another feels like it is unnecessary and is a forced way to have a romance. There is also a debate on whether making Robin Hood her soulmate was a good choice or not, with one side finding it interesting and another thinking it should have been someone who she already had a bond with.
• The Un-Twist: Not only was Robin Hood rather obviously the man with the lion tattoo even from behind, it isn't exactly difficult to peg him as the only character the audience knows of who is likely to have one—him being loyal to Richard the Lionhearted and all.
